Considerably improved comfort, road holding and bottoming resistance – these are the three qualities the owner of a snowmobile can expect from Öhlins shocks, in comparison with standard shocks. Additionally, Öhlins Shocks have longer lifetime and more options for adjustment than ordinary shocks.

Öhlins has manufactured shock absorbers for snowmobiles since late 1980s. The snowmobile shocks are based on motorcycle shocks; however, every snowmobile shock is modified for the general requirements for snowmobiles, and for a particular snowmobile model.

Something that we are alone in having at Öhlins is the patented ice scraper. It prevents thin sheets of ice from building up on the shaft, thereby preventing water from mixing with the shock fluid. Stiff shocks and unnecessary service are consequently avoided. And due to the extreme materials we select when we manufacture our shocks, they have no problem in coping with the arctic cold that sometimes prevails in wintertime.
