With the cost effective Street performance line STX 46 rear shock proving a popular upgrade choice for the Ducati Scrambler, Öhlins has unveiled a new front spring upgrade, the FSK 100, designed to offer a noticeable improvement in handling, rider comfort and performance under braking.
The already iconic Ducati Scrambler is one of the most popular new models coming out of Bologna in recent years, becoming a clear favourite for Ducati fans and customisers around the world in its short lifespan. With the Öhlins STX 46 rear shock improving handling, the new FSK100 front spring set now gives the bike the full Öhlins effect from front to rear.
The replacement FSK100 springs provide the rider with a firmer front end feel, as well as bump absorption and support during braking. The kit has been specifically designed to improve the handling, cornering and braking of the machine, giving the rider a noticeably improved feeling and comfort. The FSK100 upgrade consists of a replacement top cap (with external spring preload) and higher performance rate springs.
The spring kit joins the well established Street Performance STX 46 rear shock, which features a well proven monotube design that sets the standard for performance, quality and durability. This crucial upgrade has a 46mm main piston and an internal gas reservoir within the main body of the shock. With adjustable damping, riders can alter the behaviour to suit their style and even fit a hydraulic spring preloader to change the stance of the machine.
Robert Brinkmark, Öhlins Product Manager Motorcycles commented,
“Since its launch, the Ducati Scrambler has been making headlines and has become one of the most popular machines for Ducati fans and indeed customisers around the world.
By introducing the FSK100 front spring kit to the machine, joining the STX 46 rear shock, it allows Scrambler owners to enjoy the Öhlins effect throughout the whole bike.”
