MOTOGP
MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycle racing class and a key area of focus for Öhlins Factory Racing.
Our presence in the MotoGP paddock spans over four decades. Through close collaboration with teams across the grid, we’ve helped to shape generations of motorcycle suspension technology, driving performance innovations that continue to define our racing DNA.
Today, nine of the eleven MotoGP teams compete on Öhlins suspension, a testament to our legacy of precision engineering and performance at the highest level of motorsport. Since 2007, we’ve contributed to 19 consecutive championship victories, with Öhlins-equipped teams securing 21 of the past 22 titles.
The MotoGP environment is an intensely competitive one. High demands from both the teams and racing conditions create a razor-thin margin for error. To meet these demands, our Factory Racing team works to continuously improve the suspension technology we supply to MotoGP partners, optimizing our racing products to deliver ultra-high tolerance and race-winning performance under the highest pressure imaginable.
Behind the golden forks and shock absorbers seen on most MotoGP bikes today lies powerful, cutting-edge suspension technology based on years of innovation and development. Our MotoGP products – the RVP50BDB rear shock and TSB46 Carbon front fork – are the most technically advanced products developed on the motorcycle side of the business at Öhlins.

The rear suspension features a titanium spring, and the specifications and requirements challenged our partner to develop a new production process to ensure optimal performance and finish. This required countless hours of development between our engineers and partner to meet the highest demands for precision in spring rate, linearity, and fatigue properties while keeping the spring as lightweight as possible.
