The Öhlins STX46 Adventure shock absorber for the BMW R 80 GS, R 100 GS, and R 100 PD features a gas-pressurized damping system and internal reservoir in the main body of the shock. 

 

With adjustable rebound damping, you can adjust the behavior of the shock to suit your riding style. The shock is equipped with a hose-mounted hydraulic preload adjuster, making it easy to adjust the spring preload for changes in weight—no tools required.
