Öhlins STX36 Street Performance set the standard in performance, comfort, and durability. Developed for a wide range of street bike models, these shock absorbers deliver consistent, reliable damping performance on the road. We offer both mono and twin shocks, depending on the application.

 

This STX36 Street Performance shock absorber is specifically made to fit the Yamaha XJR400.

 

Based on our STX monotube design, the shocks are equipped with a gas-pressurized damping system and external piggyback reservoirs. Because they hold a larger volume of oil, the piggyback reservoirs keep the shocks cooler under extreme conditions, giving you consistent damping performance.

 

The shocks also feature adjustable spring preload, allowing you to make adjustments for changes in weight to maintain proper steering geometry. On this shock model, spring preload can be adjusted by changing the position of the upper spring seat.
