Regular effective maintenance is the key to maintaining the optimum function and performance of your Öhlins suspension forks and rear suspension units. Maintaining box-fresh performance can be ensured by following our regular service intervals, based on hours of riding time. Servicing is always best carried out by those with the right tools and experience so if you are in any doubt contact your local Öhlins authorised service centre, these can be found here.

However recent developments in the product range, with the procedures to maintain the units being made more straightforward, means that Öhlins products are now easier to home service for most riders with just intermediate mechanical skills, using commonly owned tools. Öhlins riders can now safely maintain and service their own forks and rear shocks using our simple step by step video guides or PDF manuals; supported by easily available spare parts kits with everything they need to keep their ride smooth.

 

Service Kits

Service parts are also simplified into kits by service level or interval.  Kits are available for 100-hour services and are available to purchase via your local Öhlins distributor or dealer.

Öhlins 100-Hour Lower Leg Service Kit Part Number: 18850-01 (RXF34) / 18880-07 (RXF36) / 19237-01 (RXF38 & DH38) (Contents vary by fork model) All the genuine Öhlins parts required to service your fork’s lower legs at the 100-hour use service interval, protective wiper seals, lubricating foam oil rings, travel/sag indicator ring and replacement bottom out bumpers. Keeping your fork factory fresh, plush and performing!

 

Öhlins 100-Hour Air Spring Service Kit – RXF34/36/38 & DH38 Part Number: 18850-12 All the genuine Öhlins parts required to service your fork air spring cartridge; all the required O-rings and support rings are included. Bringing your Öhlins fork back to factory performance and ensuring a long product life span. This service is made easiest using our Öhlins TTX18 Multi-Clamp Tool for a safe grip that won’t misshape or damage the unit’s housing.

 

Öhlins 100-Hour Service Kit – TTX Air Series Part Number: 19190-01 All the genuine Öhlins parts required to service your TTX Air series rear shock, wiper seal, all the required O-rings, travel/sag indicator; even replacement screws for the air piston head. Bringing your Öhlins shock back to factory performance and ensuring a long product life span. This service requires the use of our Öhlins TTXAir 8mm Service Clamp for ease of disassembly and so as not to damage the 8mm piston shaft.

 

Öhlins RXF36 Coil Spring Service Kit Part Number: 18885-01 All the genuine Öhlins parts required to service your RXF36 Coil Spring, including all the required O-Rings and replacement rated shrink wrap spring coatings. This service will require the use of a heat gun or similar to heat-shrink the coil spring covers.

Öhlins Wiper Seal Installation Tool Part Number: 19246-01 (38mm) / 19246-02 (36mm) / 19246-03 (34mm) Installing tool required for the safe and easy fitting of new wiper seals without damaging them. Required for all lower leg services on all versions of RXF36, RXF38 and DH38 forks.

Öhlins Coil Kit Tool Part Number: 18867-01 Specialist coil spring tool for use when removing the lower coil seat. Required for any 100-hour coil spring service on all versions of the RXF36 or for when changing between a coil and air spring within your fork.

Öhlins TTX18 Multi-Clamp Tool Part Number: 19245-01 Multi-sized TTX18 clamp for front fork servicing. Required for any 100-hour air spring service on all versions of RXF36, RXF38 and DH38 forks. The precision aluminium clamp ensures a firm grip without damaging the air spring tube.

TTX Air End Eye Tool Part Number: 19861-01 Specific clamp designed to hold the end-eye securely, without damage when adjusting stroke or performing a 100-hour service on any TTX Air family rear shock.

Öhlins TTX Air Service Clamp Part Number: 19860-03 A precision 8mm vice clamp required for the 100-hour air spring service and stroke change on all TTXAir series rear shocks. The aluminium clamp ensures a firm grip without damaging the shock’s inner shaft. Magnets make this an easy tool to use in any common bench vice.

 

 

 

Lubricants

Using the correct viscosity and synthetic mix of oil and grease in your shock or fork makes a huge difference to its function. Öhlins Renep CGLP 68 Fork Lube Part Number: 01336-01 Lower leg fluid to reduce friction and get the best possible lubrication of bushings. Needed when doing 50-hour lower leg service and 100-hour air spring service.

Öhlins Renep CGLP 220 Air Spring Lube Part Number: 01337-06 Air spring lubrication to get the air spring working as smoothly as possible. Needed when doing 100-hour air spring service on the RXF36, RXF38, DH38 and TTXAir

Öhlins Renolit SI 410 M Silicone Functional Grease Part Number: 01338-22 Grease that will ensure low friction in the wiper seals and air spring piston. Needed for 50h lower leg service and 100-hour air spring service on the RXF36, RXF38 and DH38. Also needed for the 100h Air spring service for TTXAir.
