TXC1Air Rear Shock Mountain Bike

Part no: MTBM 2311

The TXC1Air shock delivers exceptional precision and control for short-travel XC bikes where efficiency and responsiveness are key. Based on Öhlins’ proven TTX damping technology, it offers outstanding small-bump sensitivity and traction, giving riders the confidence to push harder and ride faster on demanding terrain.

This version of the TXC1Air features remote-enabled controls with three dynamic ride modes: open, pedal, and lockout. These modes mirror those of the RXC34 m.1 fork for perfectly balanced suspension performance. Taking advantage of both high- and low-speed compression, they deliver optimal efficiency when descending, pedaling, climbing, or sprinting. With its slim end-eye design, the TXC1Air is ideal for tight fitments and bikes that require a smaller air chamber. This compact construction also makes it lighter than the TXC2Air, which is optimized for less progressive linkages and longer stroke options. The remote system is designed for 7.5 mm of wire pull per position, allowing compatibility with remote levers from other leading brands. For riders seeking added flexibility, an adapter designed for 5.5 mm of wire pull per click enables use with DT Swiss remotes, as used by Team BMC Racing.

Developed and tested on technical XCO tracks, the TXC1Air incorporates Öhlins’ race-proven TTX twin-tube technology for superior sensitivity and traction, delivering a smoother, more controlled ride. The damper’s serial shim stack enhances efficiency in the open mode, helping maintain momentum and speed across natural or man-made rollers.

As part of the Öhlins XC suspension system, the TXC1Air features a rider-friendly setup for adjusting air spring progressiveness and stroke, allowing you to fine-tune performance to your riding style and bike linkage. Developed alongside the RXC34 m.1 fork, it provides perfectly balanced front and rear suspension, delivering race-ready confidence from elite competition to your local trails.
